Yes, you must use the default roster with all updates up to version 1.0.0.3.There is a fix in the work , but it require you to do a step then start a new my player with roster 10/10. Version 1.0.0.4 will let you CF a MP with roster released 10/10. Version 1.0.0.4 is not released yet , but ill be in a day or three.

HOW TO USE:

1) Open .CMG
2) Edit items 
3) Rehash and Resign
4) "Play basketball not video games" :p

Notes:
1) If you are trying to create a cyber face player (CF player) then enter the ID as decimal and not hex. Search the blog for the 2k12 CF id list some values should still work.
2) Max weight is 3100 pounds. Editing weight to 600 pounds will freeze game if you dunk. All other values should be ok.
3) Initiator will let your player inbound the ball during game play.
4) Next update will let you change individual ratings.

TROUBLESHOOT:

You guys having issues are not listening ,so I will say this one more time then I wont address the issues in regard to the tool not opening,players not uncapped,index out of range.These are things you need to do.

1) RE-DOWNLOAD THE TOOL

2) REMOVE TITLE UPDATE(IF YOU HAVE IT). Remove online data file also.

3) UPDATE YOUR NETFRAMEWORK(YOU MIGHT NEED TO)

Everything should work.If it doesn't work it's because you don't listen ,so you really must not want to use the tool.

"Having some problems when trying to save. It says something about an arithmetic error and then it says something to the effect of unexpected error and it cant access my cmg file because its already in use."

A: You are probably maxing something like sp or fans over the allowed amount which i thought i fixed, so the maximum must be different then what i set it to so lower the amount you entered. Also make sure that when you click save you don't have have the cursor in the fans or sp box since it has a coma. The max should have been 1073741823 which is more then enough.
